Miss Teen America releases debut single "Take Me Back"
Built upon Post-Punk roots there is a rock character on "Take Me Back"!
Hailing from New York, US, Miss Teen America is a goth, post-punk project bringing a new rock side into the gloominess of dark arrangements . Formed in early 2023, "Take Me Back" is their debut single, a song which bring the Dark Americana attitude into some real sharp guitar riffs, while building an intense goth rock ambience. Beautiful post-punk, rock vocals leading to a punk-like explosion during the chorus.
Miss Teen America is a quintet. The band came to be through the posting of flyers across the city reading "Do You Want to Be In A Goth Band?" After weeks of unrelenting efforts, TJ (vocals, lyrics) and Vic (bass) were joined by Alex (guitar), Marcus (guitar), and Tom (drums). Since then, they have been playing shows throughout the city, and forming their own sound. Their debut single "Take Me Back" releases October 20th 2023.
The band comments on "Take Me Back": "Take Me Back is Miss Teen America's debut single, a gothic moody track with a loud rock chorus touching on themes of religious despair, guilt, manhood, and blood."
