Unknown Fate's dark ambient soundscape called "Lula"

UF's, "Lula" blends the atmospheric dark electronics with techno and metal influences!

"Lula" is a hypnotic journey into the experimental dark ambient techno, arranged with fidelity and a eager taste of atmospheric manipulation. The track unfolds like a sonic and mystical inspection and dimension, immersing the listener in a dissonant and haunting landscape. From the beginning, UF establishes a mood of ghostly ambience, with subtle dark textures and distant lines. The rhythmic foundation, merging elements of ethereal and raw techno, is structured with unique sounds and glitchy percussion, adding an element of unpredictability to "Lula".

The production is detailed, featuring layers of synthesized sounds that range from dark ambient to metallic arrangements, using characteristics sounds to create a sense of depth. There is a balance intended to blend minimalism and complexity in the arrangement, enhancing the immersive quality of the track. The tempo is cold adding to the hypnotic mood of "Lula". As the track progresses, tension is getting higher through various electro, techno elements. The experimental paths "Lula" walks the listener into includes some unique techniques, influenced by genre pioneers.

"Lula" by UF is a really good piece within the sound of experimental dark ambient techno. Its sinister use of pads and elements, combined with haunting sounds and voices drives into an aggressive rhythmic noise and techno explosion, going to the end of the song.

Unknown Fate is a collaborative live project between German experimental techno artist OAKE and British producer and live performer Samuel Kerridge. Self-described as the ‘power metal techno’ duo, the project was born from an Atonal commission.

"Forged through friendship, addiction, and debauchery, UF is the sum of our parts. It’s taken over a decade to formulate these ideas and the noise is palpable. Pack your end of world survival bags and prepare yourselves for the ensuing riot.” says UF

Samuel Kerridge and OAKE started creating music together when they shared a studio in Berlin, and have been making music together for a decade. This is the first time that they have released music, and it’s been a long time in the making.

Reminiscing about the leadup to their Atonal debut OAKE speaks on the magic when creating music together, "There were no egos, there was just this pure energy of whatever goes goes, if someone doesn’t like something, we throw it out - just striving for a sound that would satisfy us both and not giving a single fuck about what anyone else would think. It all felt so natural and easy. Unlike any other collaboration I had done before. We wanted to create something for that space in Kraftwerk, that huge power plant, that massive building with its huge walls and concrete columns: a sound that would fill that entire space and rip people's ears off. The most exciting part was that no one, not even our partners had heard any of the music we were going to play. Also Atonal did not have an idea what was coming for them. Playing that night, a show that was only 38 minutes long was pure ecstasy. We both were high on adrenaline and became addicted to that feeling and knew, we wanted to make more of this.”
