Das Ich returns after 15 years with "Lazarus"
"Lazarus" is the new single that marks the return of Das Ich, after 15 years!
Das Ich returns to action with the hit-single "Lazarus" that serves as the seductive appetizer for the long awaited new full length album, "Fanal" coming up on Octeber 31st! "Lazarus" comes as a 3-track single, officially released on August 15th by Danse Macabre Records! Apart from the original single version, a Himmelfahrt Version and an Erweckung Remix included, with the first delivering a dark club intensity on the original, while the second adds more depth in dynamics of "Lazarus" creating a deep dark electrified soundscape.
Das Ich comments on "Lazarus": "The first beacon burns - Lazarus, the first sign of life in 15 years and a pulsating work between electronic cacophony and classical chamber orchestra full of blasphemous reminiscences. Fanal, the new album by the founders of Neue Deutsche Todeskunst (New German Death Art) will be released on October 31st. Until then, the single Lazarus offers everything that whets the appetite for the album eagerly awaited by the international fanbase."
German dark wavers have become one of the legendary dark wave, dark electro bands, and one of the prominent founders of and contributors to "Neue Deutsche Todeskunst" (New German Death Art) a musical movement in the early 1990s. THe duo consisting of Stefan Ackermann and Bruno Kramm, having initited their gothic story in 1989 they, rapidly, became famous for their classical gothic-industrial music style and their unique, theatrically inspired and performed, live shows.
Alogside with the 3-track new single, "Lazarus" and while "Fanal" will land on October 31st - this year's Halloween will be exciting! - and it is the first full length since "Cabaret" (2006), Das Ich already plans a "Fanal Tour" with the first dates already announced.
The duo adds: "Lazarus - In the darkest perversion, the resurrected becomes the herald of death. "Blessed are those who renounce God" - God himself commands the turning away from Him. Lazarus bears the unbearable burden of divine death-madness, trapped between heavenly command and human despair."
