Talk To Her unveils second single, "Dyve", out of the new album, "Pleasure Loss Desire"
Italian post-punk band Talk To Her have launched their devastating new single, "Dyve".
"Dyve" is a crucial, dark piece taken from their second, highly-anticipated album, "Pleasure Loss Desire", due out on October 30th from Shyrec and Icy Cold Records. The new single follows the release of the first single, "PLD".
"Dyve", a title created from "Dive" and "Dying", is a terrifying journey that immediately captures the feeling of dependence, of total surrender, and the final loss of the self. It is an intense, powerful sound that demands your attention and pulls you into its cold atmosphere. The beauty of "Dyve" lies in its structure, which mirrors the emotional war within, being one of the most powerful songs on the new album, Talk To Her built "Dyve" around a sharp contrast. The verses are quiet and troubled, creating a strong feeling of stress. Then, this tension breaks into loud, powerful choruses that feel like a big emotional release. This structure shows the back-and-forth between feeling clear and feeling lost.
Talk To Her's sound has grown colder, sharper, and more aggressive. Produced by the expert hand of Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher), the soundscape is heavy. While a cold wave echo remains, the post-punk component delivers a dominant, aggressive sound assault. They have perfectly mixed this darkness with the heavier, desperate sounds of alternative rock from the late 90s. "Dyve" uses heavily distorted and sharp guitars, placed over a foundation of dark, obsessive synth sounds. The music reflects this shift, you hear dark, deep baritone vocals, that guide you through this descent, and sharp bass over driving, tribal-style drumming. "Dyve" is truly a deep drop into dark emotions, It is an honest burst of force and a magnificent warning that Talk To Her is ready to deliver one of the most essential and emotionally crushing post-punk albums of the year.
