Vampire Valentine announces the release of their new single "Tears," arriving February 14, 2026, across all major streaming platforms.

Vampire Valentine is a Newcastle upon Tyne-based darkwave/post-punk trio formed in October 2025 by Michael Longstaff (vocals/producer), Kieron Wright (bass/guitar), and US producer Ricky Conover (aka Forerunnerx). Drawing influence from The Sisters of Mercy, Twin Tribes, She Past Away, and Lebanon Hanover, the band crafts atmospheric darkwave that honors classic goth while embracing modern production.

"Tears" showcases the Newcastle trio's darkwave/post-punk sound at its darkest and most gothic. With an overarching theme of a dark past between two people that neither wants to remember, "Tears" is a powerful addition to the modern darkwave scene. The band leaned fully into their sound and made it their own.

"The reason we wanted to release this track is I think we all feel like this is our sound and we're sticking to it, we want people to hear it."says Vampire Valentine.

Since their November 2025 debut single "Porcelain," the band has released their full-length album "Dry Remains" (January 2026) and signed with Morella Records as the label's inaugural artist. Following the new track, "Tears", their debut EP "Pale Dawn" drops April 17, 2026, followed by a second album in summer 2026.
