"Venus In Furs" by George Fakinos returns with an impressive line-up

Saturday, September 20th marks the return of "Venus In Furs" series, curated by George Fakinos!

With its roots tracing back to the highly successful “Spookshow” events in the Themistocleous Str., Athens basement at Underworld, and the sold-out “Torture Garden” editions at Gagarin205, Venus In Furs now makes its long-awaited return after three years.
George Fakinos continues to curate one of Athens’ most distinctive events, one that attracts people from every “tribe” and generation, united by a fascination with the bizarre, the unique and the abstract. At its core lies the exploration of hidden, unspoken desires, placing Venus In Furs alongside the most renowned events of its kind worldwide.

For this year’s edition, the chosen venue is Kyttaro Live Club, which will be transformed into a space where visitors can meet others who share the same passions and curiosities, whlle the line up can guarantee an amazing and unique event!

It’s hard to believe, but almost three years have passed since the last Venus In Furs event at Kyttaro. And yet, the conditions now seem more than right for its return.

Once again, Venus In Furs comes with its trademark quality, inviting some of the best international performers. Let’s begin with the Polish collective Suka Off, with whom we share a long history. Our collaboration started back in 2005, and since then they have returned to Athens several times—often premiering their brand-new performances exclusively at Venus In Furs.

This year marks 30 years of Suka Off, a name that has left an indelible mark on the international fetish/BDSM scene. To celebrate this milestone, they are presenting a series of selected shows in carefully chosen cities. Naturally, Athens is among them—this time with a performance created especially for Greece.

No one does what Suka Off do on stage, and certainly not in the way they do it. Their work blends theatrical intensity, abstract imagery, and open-ended interpretations—at times feeling like you’re watching a Lars von Trier film unfolding right in front of your eyes.

From Canada, and for the very first time in Athens and at Venus In Furs, comes Vesper D with a solo show full of surprises. Later in the night, she will also appear in a duo performance with Baron from Finland—where he will literally lift her into the air, suspended and spinning by her hair in an intense aerial act.

Speaking of Baron, he too is an old acquaintance, having once been part of the Psycho Cyborgs collective during a past Torture Garden Athens event organized by George Fakinos. On September 20th, aside from his duo with Vesper, he will also present his own solo piece, an old-school freakshow/sideshow performance.

Finally, we’ve saved for last the unique French performer Pyroboobz—a figure much loved from her past appearances at Venus In Furs. She returns with brand-new shows mixing fire, burlesque, freakshow, and unapologetic fun, guaranteeing a spectacular finale.

The musical part of the evening will, as always, be in the hands of George Fakinos and Vincent Andelmoth, ensuring that after the performances, the night will continue on the dancefloor until the very end.
