Post-rock emotional journey in The Abyss Inside Us, "horizons"!

"horizons", a track from the abyss inside us, hilights Nikos Togkaridis's ability in making instrumental post-rock art, creating a soundscape that is complete and deeply personal. The song opens with an intended, cinematic rhythm, allowing each layer to build upon the last. "horizons" begins with a sense of quiet anticipation, getting the listener in with elegant, ambient textures that slowly and gradually lead to more powerful post-rock elements.

"horizons" 's strength is in its emotional spin. Strictly instrumental without a single word, "horizons" tells a story of greatness and self-reflection. The guitars are used both for melody and texture, creating powerful crescendos that contrasts between uplifting and melancholic. The drumming, which is a core part of Togkaridis's background, provides a dynamic and complex rhythmic foundation that pushes the track forward. 

"horizons" is taken out of the latest full length release of The Abyss Inside Us, "blossoms in autumn" released on May 23rd!

“The Abyss Inside Us” is a one man’s instrumental project of Nikos Togkaridis from Athens, Greece. Experimenting with different genres throughout the years (electronic, ambient and film music), Nikos finally found "shelter" in 2019, with post-rock music, when he released his first EP "Earth 2" under the musical alias "The Abyss Inside Us". Nikos started playing drums at the age of 18, while getting involved with music production. In 2004, he earned a diploma in Sound Engineering and Music Technology.
